In Gers, in the heart of Armagnac down, cradle of the oldest brandy in the world, fashion is the wine at the moment, probably initiated by the area that has been the locomotive of the region moving the field Tariquet (now the largest vineyard in France with nearly 1000 hectares), but probably also because Armagnac are fewer opportunities. The custom of digestive concluded that the festive meal is Sunday or less and less common.
These were dried on a roll and they are certainly the best quality / price current for this type of wine report. Light and fresh they represent the archetypal wine carefree "no brainer" wine friends par excellence, an aperitif.
We must recognize that it has all the qualities that often are asked to dry at all times, able to accompany many dishes table: aromatic, lively and not heavy with a low degree of alcohol. What a joy to still find wines at 12 degrees and sometimes less of this quality when most of those other regions won 1.5 or 2 in the last decade.
The field Laguille is a family estate which continues the tradition of a range of local products
Colombard Sauvignon Blanc and Ugni Gros Manseng in unison this wine looks in a dress actually quite dense.
The nose is harmonious on white flowers, citrus plus a delicate aniseed notes. It is thin and not heavy.
The palate is quite full, with a certain roundness, its very precise fruit. The mid-palate is marked by citrus flavors while the final is lively and rather incisive, sharp and wears away leaving this wine very fresh mouth.
It swings like Marciac, this is a wine that has the tone, without headaches and fatigue.
